Brian J. Steelman, 34, of the 1600 block of Colonial Ave., died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 1997, at his residence.

He was a native of Southern California and worked for Smithfield Packing Co. as an electrician.

Survivors include his mother, Sonja Lee Souza Calvin, and stepfather, Marion Calvin; three brothers, Glenn Steelman, Jeffrey Steelman, Kevin Steelman; a sister, Linda Calvin, all of West Hills, Calif.; two aunts and uncles, Jack and Glenda Camarada of Atlanta, Robert and Kathy Souza of Phoenix; and grandparents, Frank and Lula Durest of Phoenix; and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Smithfield Little Theatre, Commerce Street, Smithfield, by the Rev. Tommy Reynolds. The family will receive friends at the home of Cecil and Linda Gwaltney, 201 Moonefield Drive, Smithfield, after the service. Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, is handling arrangements.
