A custodian was arrested at Norview High School Thursday after police found a loaded semi-automatic handgun in a fanny pack.
Gary W. Ferebee, 30, of the 900 block of Round Bay Road, was charged with possession of a firearm on school grounds and carrying a concealed weapon. He faces a preliminary hearing this morning in General District Court.
Police were called to the school about 2 p.m. after authorities there were told that Ferebee had been seen Wednesday with a fully loaded clip of bullets. School officials then located and confiscated a .32-caliber handgun.
School authorities said Ferebee had been working at Norview for about a week.
