Firefighters stand at attention, above, as the family of Lt. Steven
Wayne Gray Sr. arrives for Thursday's graveside services for the
23-year veteran of the Suffolk Fire Department, who died Monday of
a heart attack. At left, flowers and a miniature fire truck mark the
grave of Gray, who was 42, at Holly Lawn Cemetery in Suffolk. In
addition to his duties as a firefighter, Gray had, for the past 10
years, owned and operated Gray's Painting and Wallpapering Co.
