I have with interest the comments regarding the opening of the HOV lanes to everyone. Now, let's deal with reality.
The HOV lanes were designed for a specific reason: to curb and curtail the amount of traffic in this area. They were also designed to halt pollution released by every car.
If you want to be part of the problem, continue driving to work by yourself. If you want to be a part of the solution, car pool with someone in your immediate or adjoining neighborhood. The slight inconvenience will be greatly rewarded.
Do not demand legislators feed your wishes at the expense of people who are doing the right thing.
