Jacqueline H. ``Hope'' Williams Mason, 30, of the 400 block of Burr Oak Circle died suddenly of a pulmonary embolism Wednesday, Feb. 5, 1997, in Sentara Bayside Hospital Emergency Room.
She was a data entry operator for Competitive Medical Reporting of Virginia Beach. She was a native of Chesapeake and the daughter of Randolph Sr. and Algie Davis Williams. She was also a member of Restoration Church of Deliverance. Hope attended Crestwood High School and graduated from Tidewater Community College.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin Mason of the home; daughter, Jacqueline Denise Williams; son, Marvin A. Williams of the home; parents, Algie E. Davis-Williams of Chesapeake and Randolph Williams Sr. of New Jersey; two sisters, Algia E. Williams and Rebecca Williams; eight brothers, Jesse E. Davis, Randolph Williams Jr., James A. Davis, Fred Will, Maurice Williams, Terry Williams, John Williams and Leon Williams; maternal grandmother, Algie Davis; paternal grandmother, Rebecca Williams; mother-in-law, Pauline Rush; and father-in-law, Matthew Mason.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Riddick Funeral Service, Norfolk, by the Rev. Charles E. Moore. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. The family will receive friends there from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday and at other times at 300 Dunn St., Chesapeake.
