Don R. Garver, a former resident of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, died at University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, Jan. 27, 1997, after a brief illness.
He was an Army veteran of World War II; a graduate of Temple University School of Pharmacy, Philadelphia; and was employed for many years as a pharmacist in the Tidewater area.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; daughter, Karen, and her husband of Gloucester; and a son, Barry, and his wife of Richmond. He also has two grandchildren, living in Richmond. A son, Randolph, preceded him in death.
Graveside services were conducted in Roaring Spring, Pa., where he was born and raised.
