Robert W. Wilson Sr., 79, of the 9000 block of Sturgis St. died Feb. 8, 1997.
Chairman of the board and owner of Central Radio Co. Inc., Mr. Wilson was a native of Newport News and a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, where he served in the Seabees.
Survivors include his wife, Jane L. Wilson; daughter, Carol Lee Hatton of Richmond; son, Robert W. Wilson Jr. of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Christopher W. Hatton and Robert Scott Hatton, both of Richmond, and Gwendolyn E. Wilson of Norfolk.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Francis T. Moody. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge. The family will be in the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
