After reading the Jan. 30 article about the accident victim winning $17.5 million, I know why everyone complains about lawyers.
Why do the lawyers deserve $5.8 million? How do they begin to substantiate their cost to present this case when the accident only happened 2 1/2 years ago? That's 912 days at $6,359.65 a day from the accident. Who really pays these fees? We do, the consumer.
It's time that lawyers' fees are regulated.
