LLOYD M. WIGGINS

Lloyd Martin Wiggins, 85, of Highway 32, died Feb. 9, 1997, in a Suffolk hospital.

A native of Gates County, he was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and was a past deacon and served on the board of trustees. He was a lifetime member of the VFW (NU)7312 in Sunbury. He had been married for 53 years. He was a retired farmer and a World War II Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Doris Blanchard Wiggins; a sister, Dorothy Smirnow of Huntington, N.Y.; five brothers, Forest Wiggins, Marvin Wiggins, and Clarence Wiggins, all of Hobbsville, Herman Wiggins of Gates and Winfred Wiggins of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Beulah Baptist Church by the Rev. Ron Parr. Burial will be in Damascus Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Gates County Rescue Squad or Beulah Baptist Church Memorial Fund. Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville, is handling arrangements. Friends and family may join Mrs. Wiggins in the social hall of Beulah Baptist Church following the service.
