William Allen Harrison Sr., 74, of the 400 block of Fresh Meadow Road, died Feb. 8, 1997.
A retired U.S. Merchant Marine, he was a native of Fair Port, Va.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline B. Harrison; a stepdaughter, Earlene Watkins of Los Angeles; two sons, William A. Harrison Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of Saluda, Va., Rex A. Harrison Sr. and his wife, Gail, of Waverly, Va.; two stepsons, Richard E. Trotter and his wife, Linda, of Virginia Beach, and William D. Trotter of Portsmouth; a brother, Paul H. Harrison and his wife, Kitty, of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
