Earl Frank McDonald Saunders, 64, of the 6000 block of Georgetown Blvd. died Saturday Feb. 8, 1997, in DePaul Medical Center.
He was a native of Warrenton, N.C., and was the son of the late Dock W. and Elsie Watkins Saunders. He was a union plan representative of National Maritime Union. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and Progressive 80 Masonic Lodge FAAM Prince Hall Affiliate.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Keeling Saunders of the home; a daughter, Nekeisa K. Keeling; a son, Earl F. M. Saunders Jr.; a sister, Vivian G. Carnegie; a brother, Dock W. Saunders Jr.; grandchildren, Earl D. Saunders and Keelyn K. Waters. He was predeceased by a son, Keeling Saunders, and a sister, Mildred Wheatley.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in church at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The family will be at his residence.
