CECOLIA V. GORDON

Cecolia Victoria Gordon, of the 1500 block of W. 41st St. and formerly of the 5600 block of Paca Lane, Virginia Beach, died Feb. 9, 1997, in DePaul Hospital.

Born in Princess Anne County, she was the widow of Charlie Gordon and a nurse for City Home. She was a member of New St. John A.M.E. Church and was Mother of the Church.

Survivors include a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in New St. John A.M.E. Church by Elder E.H. Terrell. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Wednesday. The family will assemble at 1540 W. 41st St. at 11 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
