LUCY B. CHAPMAN

Lucy Bradshaw Chapman, 89, died Feb. 10, 1997, in Autumn Care Nursing Home.

A homemaker, she was a native of Isle of Wight County. She was the widow of Willie Thomas Chapman and a member of Antioch Congregational Christian Church, Windsor, for more than 50 years. She was also a member of the ladies Bible class and the daughter of the late Dellie Clay Bradshaw and Zoe Hattie Lankford Bradshaw. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary C. Harcum, by 10 hours. She was also predeceased by a son, Willie Wayne Chapman; another sister, Martha B. Lankford; and sister-in-law, Anna M. Chapman.

Survivors include her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Karen C. and Brian K. Broadwater of Sanford, Va.; former daughter-in-law and her husband, Carolyn and Bob Harrup of Windsor; four nieces and a nephew.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Antioch Congregational Christian Church by the Rev. James T. Dunn. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family in the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at 48 Church St., Windsor, the home of Carolyn and Bob Harrup.
