Charles Francis ``Frankie'' Wyatt Jr., 83, of the 3800 block of Progress Ave., died Feb. 10, 1997, in a local hospital.
A retired sheetmetal worker at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Mr. Wyatt was the widower of Mildred J. Wyatt and a member of Sweethaven Baptist Church. He was a member of Seaboard Masonic Lodge No. 56, Mount Horeb Royal Arch Chapter No. 11, and a native of Portsmouth.
Survivors include his daughter, Joy Gail Wyatt of Portsmouth; sons, Charles Ray Wyatt of Currituck, N.C., and C.W. Buddy Wyatt of Surry, Va.; sister, Delma Wyatt Bowman of Pocomoke City, Md.; three brothers, George Thomas Wyatt, the Rev. Damon E. Wyatt and John P. Wyatt, all of Portsmouth; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sweethaven Baptist Church by the Revs. Damon E. Wyatt, Lew Hunter and Toni Facenda. Burial will be in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Missionary Terry Arp, c/o Baptist International Missions, P.O. Box 9215, Chattanooga, Tenn. 37412.
