Georgia Irene Booker, 87, of the 4100 block of Belvedere Drive, died Feb. 10, 1997, in a Suffolk nursing home.
The widow of Fred Andrew Booker Sr., she was a member of Surry Street Baptist Church and a member of the Animal Assistance League. She was a native of Spartanburg, S.C.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Lane of Chesapeake; stepdaughter, Betty Ann Oetting of Fort Collins, Colo.; two sons, Fred A. Booker Jr. and Marvin D. Booker, both of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
