IS 1/C Raymond J. Swider III, U.S. Navy, 31, died Feb. 8, 1997.
A U.S. Navy intelligence specialist, he was a native of Buffalo, N.Y.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Pamela Cobb Swider; father, Raymond J. Swider Jr. and his wife, Bernice, of Kenmore, N.Y.; sister, Jennifer Smith and her husband, James, of Holley, N.Y.; maternal grandparents, Grace and Howard Michael of Olcott, N.Y.; and two nieces. He was predeceased by his mother, Dorrie E. Ludwig.
A funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, Virginia Beach, by Father Richard Mooney. The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
