Gary Lee Briggs, 57, of the 1500 block of Hawthorne Drive died Feb. 10, 1997, in Richmond.
An operation manager for Value City Department Stores, Mr. Briggs was a native of Grove City, Pa., and a member of Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin L. Briggs of Portsmouth and Jonathan D. Briggs of Norfolk; his father, Clarence ``Bud'' Briggs of Chesapeake; brother, Paul E. Briggs of Chesapeake. He was predeceased by his mother, Sara ``Betty'' Briggs.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Robert Dixon. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 8 to 9 p.m. today and at the residence at all other times.
