Longtime civil rights activist Julian Bond will speak tonight at Old Dominion University as part of ODU's President's Lecture Series.
Bond's talk, ``A Collision Course in a Divided Society,'' will begin at 8 p.m. in the Mills Godwin Jr. Building auditorium. Admission is free.
Bond's activism began with nonviolent anti-segregation protests he organized as a student at Morehouse College in Atlanta. He later served more than 20 years in the Georgia General Assembly.
Bond now teaches at American University and the University of Virginia and hosts ``America's Black Forum,'' the oldest black-owned television show in syndication.
