Joseph J. ``JJ'' Svagerko, 74, of the 3500 block of Terry Drive, died Feb. 13, 1997, in a local hospital.
Mr. Svagerko retired after 23 years of service in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Svagerko was a native of Youngstown, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Winifred Svagerko.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Greiner of Norfolk; two sons, Joseph Coleman of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Roy Svagerko of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Kristen and Jared Coleman and Zachary Greiner.
Burial will be at sea with full military honors. Colonial Crematorium Inc. provided information.
