Rea Parker Jr., M.D., died Wednesday Feb. 12, 1997, in St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond.
Mr. Parker was a native of Isle of Wight County and a doctor, retiring in 1972. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include several cousins in Virginia and North Carolina.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Smithfield, by the Rev. Pamela C. Webb. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, General Fund, 111 S. Church St., Smithfield, Va. 23430. Colonial Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
