Nathaniel Ecklin Sr., of the 3700 block of S. Plaza Trail, died Feb. 12, 1997.
He was born in Little Washington, N.C.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene M. Ecklin; six daughters, Toyna Skinner of Virginia Beach, Elnora Walton of Waterbury, Conn., Lisa Ecklin, Gina Ecklin, Delores Ecklin, all of Pittsburgh, Carolyn Williams of Arizona; four sons, Tyrone Ecklin of Norfolk, Nathaniel Ecklin Jr. of Waterbury, Jerry and Darrly Ecklin, both of Houston; 29 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Community Funeral Home, Norfolk, by the Rev. Samuel Baker Jr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
