Alfonzo Banks, of the 3000 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., died Feb. 12, 1997.
He was born in Buckingham County, Va.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy A. Banks; five daughters, Verna Bates, Phyllis Banks, both of Norfolk, Audrey Powell of Virginia Beach, Edith McLellan of Portsmouth, Doris Jackson of New Jersey; five sons, Anthony Banks, Steve Banks, Dennis Banks, Keith Banks, all of Norfolk, Otis Banks of New York; five sisters, Elsie Vincent, Florine Banks, Shirley Hill, all of Norfolk, Gladys Boggs of Dale City, Va., Deborah Coleman of Baltimore, Md.; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; an aunt and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Gospel Light Church of Christ Holiness by Dr. George Thomas. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
