Bernice E. Ambrose Thompson, 74, of the 1700 block of Sunrise Drive, died Feb. 13, 1997, in Norfolk.
A devoted wife and mother, she was a native of Paw Paw, W.Va., and a member of Diamond Springs Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Allen E.L. Thompson; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Merton Turner of Virginia Beach; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Patricia Thompson of Collosse, Va.; a sister, Phyllis R. Rouzee of Sterling Park, Va.; a brother, John E. Ambrose of Esmont, Va.; four grandchildren, James A. Thompson, Christopher D. Lowe, Kari Jo Turner and Kelli Anne Turner; close cousin, Olive King; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Phillip Holwager. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
