Lillian Ward Lane, 89, formerly of Route 1, died Feb. 14, 1997, in Edenton Prime Time Village.
A native of Chowan County, she was the widow of Pailen E. Lane and the doaughter of the late Louisa W. and Trotman Ward. She was a member of Great Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Carroll (Kathryn) Byrum of Edenton; son, Ray Lane of Conover; brother, Ralph Ward of Tyner; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Great Hope Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Cedar Wood Cemetery. Swindell Funeral Home is in charge. Memorial gifts may be given to the American Cancer Society.
