DONALD L. BIBEY

Donald Leo Bibey, 59, died Saturday Feb. 15, 1997, in his residence.

Mr. Bibey was a Methodist, a member of the Harry S. Truman Masonic Lodge (NU)649, Naples, Italy, National Restaurants Association and N.C. Restaurants Association, Dare County Restaurants Association and past president of the Nags Head Civic Association. Mr. Bibey was a retired master sergeant of the U.S. Air Force with 22 years service. He was the son of the late Millard C. and Estella Bush Bibey and the husband of Carole Ellis Bibey of the home.

Besides his wife surviving are two daughters, Theresa M. Taylor of Columbia, S.C., Susan K. Little of Bossier City, La.; three sons, Donald L. Bibey Jr. of Palm Bay, Fla., Daniel L. Bibey of Nags Head and Dennis L. Bibey of Charleston, Ore.; twins sisters, Dorothy L. Bibey of Davie, Fla., Patricia B. Shields of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Warren F. Bibey of Colorado Springs, Colo., H.J. Bibey of Richmond, M.C. Bibey Jr. of Gulf Port, Miss; father-in-law, N. Rea Ellis of Chesapeake; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church by the Rev. Brad Bradshaw. Mr. Bibey's wishes were to be donated to medical science. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1749, Nags Head, 27959 or Dare County Humane Society. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, is handling arrangements.
