FLOORING COMPANY RELOCATES: American Hi-Tech Flooring Company has relocated from Chesapeake to 952 Norfolk Square. Their phone number is 466-2900.

INTERN ARCHITECTS NAMED: Nicole D. Green and Lorenzo D. Savage were named intern architects at Cederquist Rodriguez Ripley Maddux, an architectural and interior design firm. Green was formerly a community planning technician with the National Capital Planning Commission, a federal agency based in Washington and Savage was formerly with Ivy Architectural Innovations in Virginia Beach.

LAW FIRM NAMES PARTNER: Mary Painter Opitz was named a partner with the law firm of Stackhouse, Smith & Nexsen. She clerked at the firm during law school and became an associate after graduating in 1991 from the University of Richmond.

SUFFOLK BRANCH MANGER NAMED: Inland Mortgage Corp. has named Ellis Wills as branch manager.

He was previously a branch manger with another major lender.

VIRGINIA BEACH

GROUP NAMES PRESIDENT: The Associated General Contractors of Virginia elected Robert H. McKenzie of McKenzie Construction Corp. as president for 1997.

SENIOR LOAN ORIGINATOR NAMED: M. Susan Cerino was named a senior loan originator with First Coastal Mortgage Corp. She had previously worked for NationsBanc Mortgage Corp.

CONSULTING FIRM RELOCATES: Timothy T. Cotten, security and investigation specialist, has moved his security management consulting firm from Colorado Springs, Colo. to Virginia Beach. The firm's name is Advanced Security Consulting. The phone number is 468-3243.

ASSOCIATION ELECTS PRESIDENT: Michel C. Ashe of the TAF Group was elected president of the Central Business District Association for 1997.

LANGLEY AND McDONALD PROMOTION: Diana B. Tulis and Douglas E. White were promoted to associates at Langley and McDonald. Tulis is a project engineer specializing in stormwater management issues, permitting and mitigation. White serves as project manager at the engineering and planning firm's Williamsburg office.

PENINSULA

CANON APPOINTMENTS: Canon Virginia appointed Denene Powell as assistant manager of manufacturing. Most recently she was supervisor for manufacturing. Also, Brian Strangways was named assistant manager of production control. He was supervisor for production control.

MUSEUM SHOP MANAGER: Georgia Mamangakis was named manager of the Mariners' Museum Shop in Newport News. Most recently she was museum store manager for the Virginia Air and Space Center in Hampton.
