Sallie Spivey Mabrey, 90, of Down East Rehab Center, and formerly of Eure, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 1997, in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City.
Mrs. Mabrey was born in Perquimans County. The daughter of the late Jim and Mrs. Mary Lowe Lane, she was a homemaker and a member of Eure Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest Spivey and Willis Mabrey.
Surviving are one son, Ernest ``Pete'' Spivey and wife, Norene, of Sunbury; two granddaughters, Ann Chappell of Hobbsville and Mary Lane Spivey of Elizabeth City; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Cool Spring Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Wayne Whiting. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and other times at the residence.
