Willie Norfleet Lee Sr., 84, of the 900 block of Hollywood Drive died Feb. 17, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Norfolk County, he was retired from the City of Chesapeake and was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church and co-founder of Deep Creek Rescue Squad.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mildred P. Lee; two sons, Willie N. Lee Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., Ronald W. Lee of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Jacquelyn Whitley and Margaret Wallace, both of Portsmouth; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Dr. Roscoe A. Musselwhite and the Rev. Ted Bashford. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
