Ernestine Wickings McCoy, 95, of the 100 block of W. Belvedere Road, died Feb. 17, 1997, in a local hospital.
Mrs. McCoy was a native of Colerain, N.C., and a resident of Norfolk for more than 75 years. She was the widow of Horace Esmond McCoy and a member of the First Lutheran Church of Norfolk and the Belvedere Garden Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Jacquelyn McCoy Moss of Norfolk; and three grandchildren, Jacquelyn Moss Wood and her husband Wiley Wood III and their children, Wiley Wood IV and Horace McCoy Wood; Charles Burckard Moss Jr. and his wife, Deborah, and their children, Matthew and Andrew Smithson; Laura Moss Young and her husband, William, and their children, Laura and Susan Strong and Leigh and Meredith Young and her lifelong companion, Sarah Williams.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. James G. Cobb. Memorial donations may be made to the First Lutheran Church of Norfolk or the charity of the donor's choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is in charge.
