Want to try a different kind of snack?

Duritos (wheat pellets) are munchies, but don't look for them with the potato chips. We found the Mexican-style snacks in the produce department at Farmer Jack. They look like 1-inch-wide, orange wagon wheels.

Fry Duritos in vegetable oil for about 20 seconds and watch them triple in size. For a spicy treat sprinkle fried Duritos with chili powder and lime juice. To satisfy a sweet tooth, dust with cinnamon-sugar.

Duritos sell for $1.29 a pound. ILLUSTRATION: Color photo
