GERALD C. BROWN

Gerald C. Brown, 38, of the 1300 block of Columbus Ave. died Feb. 16, 1997, in Maryview Medical Center.

A construction worker, he was a native of Chesapeake.

Survivors include his daughter, Lawanda D. Harris; father, Herbert L. Brown; five sisters, Mary B. Nixon of Portsmouth, Diane L. Barnes of Norfolk, Lola Wilkes of Baltimore, Nadine Brown and Cheryl Freeman, both of Chesapeake; four brothers, James Brown, Joseph A. Brown, Herbert W. Brown and Michael Brown, all of Portsmouth; grandchild, Dreon J. Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Annie L. Brown.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Trinity Baptist Church, 1023 Deep Creek Blvd., Chesapeake, by Dr. Olleo L. Cromwell II. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 1303 Columbus Ave. at 10:15 a.m. for the procession to the church. Serenity Funeral Home is in charge.
