Helen M. Stewart, 73, of the 700 block of Shepard Ave., died Feb. 17, 1997, in a local hospital.
A retired accountant, she was a civil service employee with 18 years service. She was a Norfolk native and widow of Bernard C. Stewart.
Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Post of Norfolk, Gail Scott of Norfolk, Judy Goodwin of Chesapeake and Kathy Quinn of Norfolk; sister, Isabelle Cole of Norfolk; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Phillips, and a sister, Mildred Lowe.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Terry Beck. The family will receive friends in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
