Jack O. Morris, 73, of the 1400 block of Bartow Place, died Feb. 18, 1997, in a local hospital.
He was retired and a native of Barnett, Miss. He was the widower of Hazel Madeline Morris and a member of Smyrna Baptist Church, Pensacola, Fla. He was a disabled veteran.
Survivors include a son, David K. Morris of Virginia Beach; two stepsons, Broughton Palmer Jr. and Carroll Palmer, both of Virginia Beach; sister, Elizabeth Fall of Sandersville, Miss.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Charity Cemetery, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Jerry Lassiter. The family will receive friends in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
