Hoyte Glen Williams Jr. died Feb. 18, 1997, in his resdience.
Mr. Williams was retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Camp Knox Masonic Lodge, Louisville, Ky., a member of the Norfolk Scottish Rite, Khedive Temple and the Virginia Beach Shrine Club. He was also a member and former president of the Club Managers Association of America. He attended Virginia Beach Community Chapel and lived in Tidewater most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Sandy.
Mr. Williams is survived by his loving wife, Louise C. Williams; daughter, Judith W. Cole of Virginia Beach; son, Rodney ``Ronny'' Williams of Virginia Beach; 13 grandchildren, Ted, Susan and Caroline Williams of Virginia Beach, Laura Caldwell and Johnny Sandy of Hawaii, Missy Riekena of Dallas, Cheyney, Charlie, Dickie and Jim Cole of Virginia Beach, Bebe Burlage and Beth Barrineau, also of Virginia Beach, and Hoyte Cole of Dubois, Pa.; and 18 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel. A church service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Virginia Beach Community Chapel by the Rev. Larry Shoaf. Interment will follow to Princess Anne Memorial Park.
