The Virginia Wesleyan women made 11 turnovers in the last five minutes, three straight in a critical stretch of an 84-78 loss at Randolph-Macon Tuesday.
The Marlins (8-14, 6-12) trailed 74-72 after a three-point play by Leeanna Lillefloren with 4:07 to go. But the Marlins turned the ball over on their next three possessions and trailed 78-72.
Lillefloren finished with 30 points and was 13 for 16 from the field.
Leslie Buhrman led Randolph-Macon (13-9, 11-7) with 20 points.
The Marlins will host Eastern Mennonite Friday at 7 p.m.
