Norman Dean Goodman Sr., 63, of the 1200 block of Yeadon Road, died in his home Feb. 17, 1997.
Dean was born in Hertford, N.C., and was retired. He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce D. Goodman; a son, Norman D. Goodman Jr. of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Mitzi Goodman Floyd and a granddaughter, Joy D. Parker, both of Chesapeake; three sisters, Katherine Bickel of Wichita, Kan., Diane and Fran Goodman of North Carolina; and two brothers, Jimmie and Danny Goodman of North Carolina.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday in Altmeyer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
