LETTIE D. PADGETT

Lettie Delores Padgett, 79, of the 7600 block of Martone Road, died Feb. 19, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.

Born in Kernersville, N.C., she was the widow of the late John H. Padgett and a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a retired supervisor for Giant Open Air Market.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Ann Booth of Merritt Island, Fla., Brenda Andrasen of Norfolk, and Rita Burow of Norfolk; daughter-in-law, Mary F. Padgett of Chesapeake; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, John ``Whitey'' L. Padgett.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop R.G. Dickerson. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel.
