Maxine Quidley Martin, 77, died Feb. 19, 1997, in her residence.
A native of Stumpy Point, N.C., she was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Betty Q. Shumate of Kitty Hawk, N.C., Joan C. Keys of Virginia Beach, Darlene Q. Smith of Chesapeake and Vivian Simpson of Prince George; sister, Rita H. Midgett of Manns Harbor, N.C.; brother, W. Dwight Hooper of Kitty Hawk; three grandchildren, Cheryl A. Grosskopf, David B. Simpson, Dara P. Light; three great-grandchildren, Michael Grosskopf, Matthew and Brian Simpson.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Joseph T. Carson III. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. today and Saturday.
