Doris Louise Allen, 66, died Feb. 19, 1997, in a Richmond hospital.
A homemaker, she was a Stokes County, N.C., native and a Baptist. She was predeceased by her father, John H. Mabe.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Allen Sr.; mother, Trudie Mae Byrd of Virginia Beach; sisters, Diane M. Midyette of Suffolk and Paige B. Mosley of Virginia Beach; brothers, Bobby Byrd of Gasburg, Ray Mabe of Walnut Cove, N.C., and Jack Mabe of Suffolk; eight nephews; 11 great-nephews; seven nieces; and four great-nieces.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Carter Dey. Entombment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family in the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times in the home of Diane M. Midyette, 7579 Elwood Road, Suffolk.
