Mrs. Carrie A. Hall, 78, of the 5300 block of Godwin Blvd., died Feb. 18, 1997, in Obici Hospital.
A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of Junious Jackson and Evangeline Butler Jackson and was the widow of Clifton Hall. She was a retired laborer of Gold Kist Peanut. She was a member of Little Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Junious H. Jackson of Suffolk; a stepson, Curley Hargrove of Suffolk; three adopted nieces as daughters, Cornell Teal, Ethel Whitfield, Clarice Whitfield, all of Suffolk; five sisters-in-law, Ethel Jackson, Susie Jackson, Susie Wilson, Queenie Hall, Addie Hall of Suffolk; first cousin and close friend, Plummie Hicks; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Little Bethel Baptist Church, 6533 Everets Road, Suffolk, by the Rev. K.D. Shivers. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The remains will lie in state from 2 p.m. until the hour of the service. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
