A column in some copies of today's Daily Break incorrectly
reports that ``Schindler's List'' will air tonight. The movie will
air Sunday night. Some papers had already been printed when the
error was found.
A headline in Friday's paper incorrectly reported that
Charlotte-based sports consultant Carl Sheer was hired by George
Shinn, who is attempting to bring an NHL franchise to Hampton Roads.
Sheer worked for Shinn in the past, but has not been hired by him.
A judge, not a jury, heard witnesses Thursday in the preliminary
hearing for a Virginia Tech rape case. A headline in Friday's Metro
News section was incorrect.
The Portsmouth school superintendent's proposed $95.8 million
operating budget for 1997-98 does not include federal Title I funds,
which are in a separate budget category. A Metro News story Friday
contained an error.
A Feb. 6 story about four Florida-based Navy aviators who crashed
in their S-3B Viking had incorrect job titles for three of the
missing crew members. Lt. Cmdr. Mark Ehlers and Lt. Mark Eyre were
both tactical coordinators, and Lt. Mike Weems was the pilot.
