MAN SHOT DEAD; POLICE CHARGE WIFE WITH MURDER

Police said a domestic dispute ended with a late-morning shooting that left a 33-year-old man dead.

Michael Ray Jurish of the 1200 block of Naxera Court was shot about 11 a.m. in his home.

He died at 12:47 a.m. at Virginia Beach General Hospital. His wife, Helen L. Jurish, 39, was arrested and charged with the slaying.

She was being held in the city jail Friday night on a charge of first-degree murder and of using a gun while committing a felony. She faces an arraignment at 8:30 a.m. Monday in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
