Military officers and employees of Teledyne Ryan Aeronautical,

above, inspect an unmanned aerial vehicle, the Global Hawk, at an

unveiling ceremony Thursday at Teledyne in San Diego. The aircraft,

which has a wingspan of 116 feet and a range of 14,000 miles, will

be used for aerial reconnaissance. At left, Robert Mitchell,

president of Teledyne, speaks at the festivities for the Global

Hawk, which is the largest unmanned plane being built.
