TURKISH AMBASSADOR TO VISIT HAMPTON ROADS

Turkish-American relations will be the subject when the Turkish ambassador to the United States pays a visit to Hampton Roads Friday.

Nuzhet Kandemir will address the World Affairs Council of Greater Hampton Roads at the Norfolk Airport Hilton.

Kandemir came to Washington in 1989 after serving in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as ambassador to Iraq.

The meeting is open to the public. The program includes a reception at 6:15 p.m., dinner at 7 and the ambassador's speech at 8. The cost is $16 for council members, $20 for nonmembers and $10 for students. To make reservations, call 461-3664 by noon Wednesday. ILLUSTRATION: Nuzhet Kandemir
