A man who robbed the NationsBank branch in the 4000 block of Victory Blvd. Friday morning, stuffing cash in his shirt before he fled, may have thought he made a clean getaway.
That is, until a dye pack hidden in the money exploded.
Now he is a marked man. Literally.
``He should have extreme discoloration and maybe some skin burns to his chest, neck and extremities,'' said police spokeswoman Amber Whittaker.
The robbery occurred just before 10 a.m. The man entered the bank, jumped a counter and grabbed cash. He then fled and was running across the parking lot when witnesses said the dyepack exploded. The robber was last seen getting in a black and blue Pontiac or Monte Carlo.
He is described as a black man, about 27, 5 feet 9 inches and 185 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, a black baseball cap, white tennis shoes and sunglasses.
His picture was taken by a bank security camera. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 393-8536 or Crime Line at 488-7777.
