Ruth Mitter Parham of the 2400 block of Virginia Beach Blvd. died Feb. 19, 1997, in local hospital
Mrs. Parham, born in LaCrosse, Va., was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mitter and the widow of Wesley Parham.
Survivors include a son, Raymond R. Haynes; a daughter, Pauline B. Thompson of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Tynes; a brother, M. Conway Mitter, both of Norfolk; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a nephew and a niece.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church, Bute St. A wake will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Graves Funeral Home. The procession will leave from Anna Street, Norfolk. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
