Mrs. Miriam Everett Vaden Carey, 39, of the 25000 block of Tennessee Road, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 1997 in Greensville Memorial Hospital, Emporia.
She was a member of Hickory Grove A.M.E.Z. Church, Franklin.
Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Carey; mother, Rosa B. Byrd, and stepfather, Elder James L. Byrd of Franklin; a daughter, Tameshia S. Vaden of Richmond; two sons, Ronald M. Vaden Jr., Quentin A. Vaden of Franklin; two sisters, Portia A. Everett, Althia Jewette of Franklin; five stepsisters; two brothers, Joseph C. Everett of Drewryville and Michael Everett of Littleton, N.C.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Pleasant Plain Baptist Church, Drewryville, by the Rev. Raymond Pyant. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery, Franklin. Remains will be placed in church for viewing at 12:30 p.m. Family will assemble at the home at 12:30 p.m. Wm. M. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
