Ossie Mae Amos of the 100 block of Butts Lane died Feb. 18, 1997.
She was retired from the Virginia Beach School Board.
Survivors include her husband, Oscar Amos of Cincinnati; two daughters, Sandra Mitchell of Virginia Beach and Gloria Wiggins of Wilson, N.C.; five sons, Carl Moye, Michael Amos, Anthony Amos, all of Virginia Beach, Wiley Moye of Washington, D.C., and Jimmy Moye of New York; two brothers, Wilbert Anderson of New York and Herman Beamon of Portsmouth; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Saint Stephen's Church of God in Christ, Virginia Beach, by Bishop Ted Thomas. Burial will be in Saint's Rest Cemetery. Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, is handling arrangements.
