Esther L. Kurtz, 86, born Oct. 17, 1910, in Western Pennsylvania, died Feb. 21, 1997.
Her parents were Adrian and Anna S. Carlson. She graduated from Frick Memorial School of Nursing in Mount Pleasant, Pa. Mrs. Kurtz retired from the U.S. Public Health Hospital in Norfolk, where she was a registered nurse. She belonged to the 21st Street and Tarrelton Senior Citizens Groups. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William F. Kurtz in 1990.
She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Norfolk.
A graveside service conducted by the Rev. Daniel Quiram in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. She was a friend and caregiver to all God's creatures.
