Dorothy P. Crawford, 76, of the 3800 block of Old Forge Road died Feb. 21, 1997 in her residence.
A volunteer for many years with Virginia Beach Mental Health Services, she was a Queens, N.Y., native and the widow of Alexander J. Crawford.
Survivors include daughter, Patricia A. Crawford of New York, N.Y.; sister, Charlotte Winters of Port Chester, N.Y.; numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Parish of the Holy Spirit by Monsignor Tom Caroluzza. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, Queens. Hollommon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel provided local information. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dorothy Crawford Respite Care Fund, Older Adult Services of Virginia Beach, (757) 437-5775.
